Great Press for the Purdue College Dems on SB254

Here's some great press on Monday's press conference by the Purdue University College Democrats denouncing Rep. Randy Truitt's comments and "no" vote on SB 254/HB1099, which would allow student IDs without an expiration date to be used for voting purposes.

INDIANA YOUNG DEMOCRATS STATEMENT ON BALL STATE UNIVERSITY VOTING SITE

INDIANAPOLIS -- Indiana Young Democrats President Shaunica Pridgen issued a statement today on the ongoing controversy surrounding on-campus early voting at Ball State University in Muncie:

IYD Gives Back: Collections for Flood Victims at the State Convention

IYD will be collecting food and other items for flood victims as part of our convention caucus activities.

Here are the items listed as "most needed":

  • Pop-top fruit/veggies/pasta foods

IYD Caucus at State Convention

The State convention is tomorrow at the Marriott in downtown Indianapolis. Elections for IYD executive board will be held during the Indiana Young Democrat Caucus. The caucus will be held from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Capitol II room at the Westin Hotel. (This hotel is located right next to the Marriott and I believe you may not even have to walk outside to get to it.)

In order to vote in this election you must be a dues paying member of the Indiana Young Democrats. You can pay your dues online with any major credit or debit card.

Weekly Update: June 13, 2008

State Convention Volunteers

State Party is in need of volunteers for our State Convention on June 20th & 21st. A number of volunteers are needed for Friday and Saturday. Friday volunteers will be needed from 4:00-10:00pm. Saturday volunteers are needed from 7:00am to 5:00pm. People can work in shifts if they can't stay the whole day. Lunch for volunteers will be provided on Saturday.

Ed Delaney

Ed Delaney's campaign for State House District 86 will be dropping questionnaires off to houses in his district to find out just how badly people in his district were affected by their most recent property tax bill. The goal is to reach 15,000 households…and they need your help!
